Hey sis, I’m Kabrena Williams! Or affectionately known as Kb.
I’m Kabrena or Kb, the founder and Editor-in-Chief of Nailz in Bloom and our sister site, Kb in Bloom.
Navigating the corporate world, I’ve felt the judgment for my vibrant nails and the audacity to wear purple hair color with my tight curls. It felt like a push to conform, and I refused to blend into the crowd.
This is for all the dope black and brown women, creative souls thriving in rigid corporate spaces.
Nailz in Bloom is a platform that proudly embraces the artistry behind colorful, long nails. In a society that has unfairly stigmatized certain styles, we are here to reclaim the narrative and showcase the creativity and elegance behind every nail design.
Our mission is clear: redefine beauty standards and empower women of color to express themselves through nail art without limits. Whether you’re a seasoned nail enthusiast or just starting your journey, Nailz in Bloom is your go-to destination for tips, inspiration, and a supportive community.
Join us in celebrating the unique beauty of colorful, long nails and reclaiming the narrative that has for too long confined certain styles to negative stereotypes. Nailz in Bloom is more than a platform; it’s a movement, a statement, and a celebration of individuality.
My Story
I was working in “corporate” doing amazing work in the eyes of my colleagues. I was always the youngest, and only black practictioner in the room, and yet, I pushed through. How many of us BIPOC women can relate to this?
A couple of years of overextending myself as a BCBA led to some extreme burnout and anxiety. But you know what? It needed to happen in order for me to grow this community and help redefine what self-care as a black millennial woman means today.
For many black women reading this today, discovering this space is a validation that you can operate within your scope and showcase some dope, colorful, long nails. It’s for the women who get judged by the way they present themselves but still manage to do their job because, news flash, how you look doesn’t affect your productivity.
Explore the vibrant world of Nailz in Bloom, where nail art meets empowerment! As a passionate nail enthusiast, I’ve created this space to celebrate colorful, long nails and empower women of color. Join us in breaking stereotypes and embracing the beauty of diverse nail art.
Take care, self care

Almond or stiletto nails are my favorite.
Honestly, I love every nail color when combined with two or more nail colors. I am big on designs and textures when it comes to my nails.
Doubt myself to believe that I have to wait until something is absolutely perfect to publish my thing.

Naturally, I lean more towards the introvert side but I have plenty of moments where my extrovert side shows. I’m a very goofy person.
